My belgian friends were rigging up 6m sails which seemed the perfect choice - my choice was to be well overpowered on the 6.8, or underpowered on the 5.4. I took the latter and gave it a big belly, and as luck would have it the wind picked up! :-)

Very similar day to yesterday, only now I¥m getting the hang of hitting waves head-on, by ¥lifting¥my back foot as I go down the back of them, and pointing my back knee behind me bandy-leg style. Seems to help keep the board more under control, and I seemed to ¥skid¥down the back of waves a lot less.

Went for a few gybes again, still getting half way around then forget what to do with my feet. Spent far too much of the session in the water, got cold and wished I¥d put the sleeves on my wetsuit. By the time I¥d had enough, the belgians were faffing about and changing down, so I¥m glad I didn¥t go for the 6.8 at least!
